UHart Closed for Holiday Break from Dec. 22 Through Jan. 1

The University of Hartford will be closed for the holiday break from Friday, Dec. 22, through Monday, Jan. 1.

Electrical shutdowns during the break are scheduled for Dec. 22 and Dec. 28.

Winterterm Information

University business operations will be conducted remotely from Jan. 2–9 as most campus buildings remain closed. During this period in early January, Harrison Libraries will be open weekdays to accommodate students, faculty, and staff who need to use library resources or wish to use the building to study or work. Mortensen Library will be open Monday–Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. while Allen Library will be open from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The libraries will be closed on weekends.

All dining locations are closed over break. The Commons will be reopen for breakfast on Monday, Jan. 15.

The Hartford Hawks will have home basketball doubleheaders on Jan. 4 and Jan. 6. The Sports Center's fitness facility will be closed from Dec. 22 through Jan. 9.

Health Services will be operating remotely from Thursday, Dec. 21 through Tuesday, Jan. 9. There will be a provider on call to speak with patients by appointment—except on Monday, Dec. 25, and Monday, Jan. 1. Health Services staff will be in the office from 8 a.m. to noon from Jan. 10–12 and closed on Monday, Jan. 15.

Public Safety will remain open throughout the break. Routine calls can be made 24 hours a day, seven days a week to 860.768.7985. The 24-hour emergency number is 860.768.7777 (or 7777 from any campus phone).
